The Christian Education Ministry under the leadership of Minister Clyde Conerly, oversees the ministries of The Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church. The Christian Education Ministry seeks to educate, equip and encourage members of the church and those in the community with the practical principles that can be carried out in every day life.

The Christian Education Ministry has always been a beacon of light for the church, promoting and presenting various programs that help the church to mature spiritually in the Word of God. This Ministry, at one time was led by our lovely First Lady Emerita, Sister Ivory Collins Shepherd. Under her leadership, various ministries and programs were implemented. She led this ministry for over thirty years under the great leadership of her husband, the late Rev. Hubert Floyd Shepherd who pastored The Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church for over forty-seven years.

The Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church takes pride in its Christian Education Ministry. The ministry has implemented several new programs such as additional Sunday school classes, a teaching training program, and The ASK ME campaign. The Sunday school classes are designed to meet the needs of all its parishioners. The teacher training program has been implemented to insure that teachers are continually equipped to be the best that they can be. The ASK ME campaign is our evangelism program that has been implemented to insure that the church is actively involved in winning souls for Christ. Other programs and ministries are fourth coming.
